Horizontal Flow Wrappers are versatile packaging machines suitable for wrapping a variety of food and hard products, including chocolates, biscuits, candies, engineering parts, and utensils, with a high packing speed of up to 180 pieces per minute.
Features & Characteristics
Servo Motor Control: Multiple independent motors (typically 3 to 5) control the in-feed conveyor, film feed, fin seal wheels, and end-sealing jaws, allowing for precise, synchronized motion, easy adjustment, and fast changeover.
Product Feeding System: A horizontal conveyor feeds products into the forming area, often featuring adjustable lugs and, in some designs, specially designed, hygienic, or automated robotic loading.
Film Unwind and Tension Control: Features automatic tension control to ensure consistent, reliable, and hygienic wrapping, often with automatic film splicing for continuous production.
Sealing and Cutting System: Uses fin-seal rollers to create the long seam and rotary jaws for end-sealing/cutting. Options include thermal sealing, cold sealing, and ultrasonic sealing for high-end hermetic packaging.
Digital HMI Touchscreen: User-friendly interfaces often enable storing 50–100+ product recipes for quick switching between different item sizes.
No Product, No Bag Feature: Photoelectric sensor systems ensure no package is made if no product is detected on the conveyor, minimizing packaging film waste.
Inverted Design Option: Available for fragile or sticky products, feeding the film from below, which makes it easier to transport the product on top of the film.
Applications & Usage
Food Industry: Used for bread, cookies, snacks, frozen foods, chocolates, and confectionery.
Personal Care/Household: Masks, soap, wet wipes, and sponges.
Pharmaceuticals: Vials, blister packs, and medical devices.
Hardware/General: Small components, cutlery, and kits.
