- Dual Functionality (Cut & Grain Crush): Most models in the 9ZR family perform dual-purpose tasks, allowing operators to chop green/dry fodder (Napier grass, corn stalks, sugarcane tops) while also crushing grains (maize, wheat, sorghum) when equipped with a grain hopper and screen.
- Chain-Driven Automatic Conveyor Feed: Features a gear-driven, chain-conveyor feeding chute that automatically draws fodder into the cutting chamber, increasing operational safety and reducing manual labor.
- Adjustable Cutting Lengths: Equipped with a gear adjustment system (low/high speed gears) or interchangeable blade arrangements, allowing farmers to adjust output cut lengths (typically ranging from 10 mm to 35 mm) depending on the target livestock species.
- High-Strength Manganese Steel Blades: Utilizes hardened 65Mn spring steel or alloy steel rotary blades engineered for long wear life, clean cuts, and resistance to dulling when processing fibrous stalks.
- Multi-Power Compatibility: Can be powered by standard electric motors (2.2 kW to 7.5 kW single-phase or three-phase depending on machine size), petrol engines, or diesel engines for off-grid farm operations.
- High-Blower Outlet Chute: Incorporates a high-discharge blower/funnel design that directs processed forage directly into bags, trailers, or silage pits without requiring manual shoveling.

- Dry Residue & Straw Chopping: Processing dry corn stalks, wheat straw, rice straw, peanut vines, and sweet potato vines into fine, palatable forage.
- Silage Preparation: Pre-processing forage prior to baling or pit fermentation. Softening tough stalk fibers via kneading accelerates anaerobic bacterial fermentation, improving silage quality.
