Marking and Coding

Common marking methods include inkjet printing, laser marking, thermal transfer, and dot peen coding. Each method is selected based on the material, production speed, and durability requirements. For example, laser marking offers permanent, high-quality codes without contact, ideal for metals or plastics.

ZANASI Thermal Inkjet Z4Plus

Statpack Industries Packaging Solutions offers the ZANASI Thermal Inkjet Z4Plus, an advanced multi-head thermal inkjet ( TIJ ) coding system engineered for high-definition, high-speed industrial printing, the Z4Plus meets strict packaging traceability and compliance standards across the food, pharmaceutical, and logistics sectors by printing high-contrast barcodes, 2D DataMatrix codes, QR codes, logos, and variable alphanumeric data without physical contact, its versatile ink compatibility allows seamless marking across both primary and secondary packaging materials, adhering reliably to porous and non-porous substrates like paper, cardboard, flexible films, plastics, coated boxes, and aluminium.

Engineered for operational efficiency and a low total cost of ownership, the Z4Plus features a modular design that drives up to four synchronized printheads to reach total print heights up to 50.8 mm (2 inches). Its clean, virtually maintenance-free cartridge system eliminates the downtime typical of traditional mechanical wear and complex manual cleanings. High-volume operations can add an optional Bulk Ink Distribution System (BIDS) to automatically replenish ink without interrupting production—cutting consumable expenses by up to 50%. Through robust integration features and intuitive line management, the ZANASI Z4Plus gives Statpack customers a scalable, eco-friendly coding solution tailored to modern manufacturing demands.
