Pedal Foot Bag Sealers

Pedal foot bag sealers are automated or semi-automated machines designed to efficiently seal bags using a foot pedal mechanism, allowing for hands-free operation. These sealers are commonly used in packaging industries to ensure secure closure of plastic or poly bags, maintaining product freshness and safety. They typically feature adjustable settings for sealing time and temperature, making them suitable for various bag types and thicknesses. Pedal foot bag sealers are valued for their convenience, speed, and ability to improve workflow in packaging lines.

Features & Characteristics

  • Hands-Free Operation: The foot pedal mechanism allows operators to hold bags with both hands for accurate positioning, increasing efficiency and speed.
  • Adjustable Sealing Controls: Features an electronic timer and heat setting, enabling users to adjust for different material thicknesses (e.g., PE, PP, laminated foils).
  • Sturdy Construction: Features a robust stand and frame that often includes a built-in support tray for heavy or bulky bags, preventing spills.
  • Impulse Sealing System: Provides energy-efficient operation by heating only when the pedal is pressed, creating a strong, consistent, and air-tight seal.
  • Versatile Sealing Options: Available in various sealing widths (e.g., 300mm to over 1000mm) and some models feature double-heating elements (upper and lower) for thicker materials.
  • Additional Features: Many models offer an optional sliding cutter for cutting tubes or removing excess material, as well as adjustable height for the sealing head.

Applications & Usage

  • Preparation: Turn on the machine and adjust the timer dial based on bag thickness (lower for thin, higher for thick).
  • Positioning: Place the edge of the bag between the sealing jaws.
  • Sealing: Depress the foot pedal firmly, holding it down until the sealing light goes out or for 2-4 seconds.
  • Cooling: Keep the pedal depressed for an additional 1–2 seconds after the light turns off to allow the seal to set.
  • Release: Release the pedal and remove the sealed bag.
