Heat Wrapping Machine

A Heat Wrapping Machine is a device used to securely wrap products with heat-sensitive materials such as shrink wrap or stretch film, ensuring protection, containment, and presentation. It typically employs heat to activate adhesives or cause the wrapping material to conform tightly around the product, making it ideal for packaging items in industries like food, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods. These machines come in various types, including manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic models, designed to improve efficiency, consistency, and packaging quality.

Features & Characteristics

  • Advanced Sealing Technology: Features include high-quality, Teflon-coated, or specialized heating elements that produce consistent sealing lines (such as L-sealing or side sealing) on both sides of the product, minimizing mess and ensuring strong, airtight, or moisture-resistant results.
  • Controllable Heat and Speed: Systems typically feature digital controllers for precise, adjustable tunnel temperatures (ranging from 100°C – 250°C) and variable conveyor speeds, allowing optimization for different product sizes and film types (PVC, PE, POF).
  • High Efficiency and Automation: Automated models can package over 20,000+ products per day, with features like automatic feeding, sorting, and film feeding, which significantly increase throughput.
  • High-Speed Blower System: Continuously rated, high-speed blower systems in the heating tunnel ensure uniform heat circulation for a tight, even, and wrinkle-free finish on all sides of the product.
  • Durable Construction: These machines are commonly constructed from stainless steel or powder-coated steel for long service life, with robust conveyor systems (roller or mesh).
  • Operator Safety and Convenience: Features include simple operation, emergency stops, easy maintenance, and in some cases, optional cooling systems to ensure the packaging is set properly before leaving the machine.

Applications & Usage

  • Setup: Ensure the machine is plugged in and the center-folded film is loaded onto the rollers, with the open side facing the operator.
  • Film Separation: Thread the film over the separator bar to divide the top and bottom sheets.
  • Sealing: Pull the film over the sealer pad, place the item between the sheets, and press the I-bar down to seal and cut the plastic.
  • Shrinking: Apply heat using a heat gun (4-6 inches away) or pass the item through a heat tunnel, moving continuously to avoid melting.
  • Settings: Set the sealing timer according to the film type (usually 3–4) and adjust the temperature based on the plastic thickness.
