Strapping

Common strapping materials include steel, polypropylene (PP), and polyester (PET), each chosen based on strength requirements, cost, and application. Steel straps offer high tensile strength for heavy loads, while plastic straps provide flexibility and corrosion resistance for lighter packages.

Heavy Duty Semi-auto Strapping Machine

A Heavy-Duty Semi-Automatic Strapping Machine is an industrial packaging workhorse designed to secure large, heavy, or bulky items with high-tension plastic strapping. Unlike fully automated arch machines that require specific package sizes, these archless, open-table designs give you the flexibility to strap packages of almost any shape or size.

Features & Characteristics

  • Robust Construction: Built with high-quality mild or stainless steel to withstand continuous, demanding industrial environments.
  • Fast Operation: Efficient, with a typical strapping speed of 2 seconds or less per strap.
  • Adjustable Tension: Features external tension knobs for precise control, allowing for a wide range of tension (e.g., 15–50 Kg or up to 60 Kg in some models) to prevent product damage.
  • Versatile Compatibility: Compatible with various polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PET) strapping materials, with adjustable widths ranging from 6mm to 15.5mm.
  • High Load Capacity: Designed to support heavy packages, with standard tables supporting up to 50kg-60kg.
  • User-Friendly Control: Equipped with advanced PCB control systems and often includes a [foot pedal for easier, hands-free operation].
  • Safety and Maintenance: Features include, but are not limited to, a safety switch that triggers when opening the top cover, a motor that stops immediately when not in use to save energy, and an air filter.
  • Portability: Heavy-duty caster wheels with brakes are typically included for easy movement and secure positioning.

Applications & Usage

  • Place Package: Position the item on the table.
  • Wrap Strap: Manually wrap the strap around the package.
  • Feed Machine: Insert the strap into the feeding channel.
  • Auto Action: The machine instantly detects the strap, pulls it tight (tension), heat-seals it, and cuts it.
  • Remove: Take the package away; the machine automatically resets, ready for the next cycle (around 17 times per minute).
